Our thoracic surgery team at Washington Township Medical Foundation is committed to a high standard of excellence, care, and professionalism in the treatment of our valued patients. We perform both thoracic and foregut surgery. Thoracic surgery includes surgery can be conducted on the chest wall as well as the organs that are contained in the chest cavity. Foregut surgery includes surgery designed to address issues with the proximal small intestine, esophagus, and stomach.

Conditions treated by our team include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), difficulty swallowing or “achalasia”, esophageal cancer, diffuse esophageal spasm, nutracker esophagus, hiatal hernia, Barrett’s Syndrome. Conditions treated with thoracic surgery at WTMF include lung cancer, hypohidrosis, problems with the diaphragm including hernias and eventaution, mediastinal tumors including thymoma, lymphoma, and germ cell tumors, lung nodules, chest wall abnormalities including pectus excavatum, pectus carinatum, and chest wall tumors.
