In this video, patient Jenifer Hampton discusses her lumpectomy, which is the surgical removal of a discrete portion or “lump” of breast tissue. She turned to Washington Township Medical Foundation surgeon William Dugoni, MD, for the procedure. “Everyone’s been very helpful, everyone’s been very kind,” said Jenifer of her successful surgery. She also highlighted the care provided by the Washington Women’s Center. “Breast cancer is so fixable and so curable if treated early,” said Dr. Dugoni, “and we encourage women to seek early diagnosis through screenings and mammograms.” As a surgeon and as Director of Washington Hospital Healthcare System’s Women’s Center, Dr. Dugoni has been a leader in providing the best care possible for breast cancer patients.
